Ethiopian Airlines passenger plane safely evacuated after runway skid at Alula Abanega International Airport
Professor Kindeya Gebrehiwot, the Cabinet Secretariat for the Transformation of Social Development in the Interim Administration of #Tigray, took to his X (Twitter) account today to report an incident involving an Ethiopian Airlines passenger plane at #Alula_Abanega International Airport in #Mekelle.
According to Kindeya, the aircraft skidded off the runway due to a flat tire at approximately 2 p.m. The incident, while alarming, concluded with all passengers on board being safely evacuated.
The former President of Mekelle University, Kindeya, indicated that there were no injuries or harm to any of the passengers.
